Screen every SEBI-registered Alternative Investment Fund

All 1,990 funds on SEBI’s register, filterable by category, by state, by the year they were registered, and by how many funds the same sponsor has registered. Everything below is a registration fact or is labelled as this site’s own inference.

What this screener cannot tell you

It cannot rank these funds by performance, and neither can anything else that is public. There is no standardised disclosure of AIF returns in India. Unlike portfolio management services, where APMI requires monthly performance reporting, an AIF’s returns, NAV, fees, expenses and minimum commitment live in its private placement memorandum, which is issued only to prospective investors and is not on any public register.

So there is no returns column here, no AUM column, no fee column and no ranking that quietly stands in for one. Any Indian site showing you a comparable AIF return table has either taken it from a manager’s own marketing or made it up. This screener filters facts SEBI publishes, plus one grouping this site derives and labels.

What it is good for: narrowing 1,989 registrations to the handful worth a conversation, and seeing before that conversation whether the manager in front of you has run funds before. The learn section covers what to ask them, and what the memorandum has to disclose.

The register, filtered

1,536 of the 1,990 funds are grouped into a sponsor family by this site, and 745 of them share that sponsor with at least one other registered fund. That count is the nearest thing the public record offers to a manager’s history, and it is a count of registrations, not of results.
